Late Night Accident Fatally Injures Two

alt PADUCAH, KY - Two men were killed in a single vehicle accident late last night in McCracken County. At around 11pm Thursday night, McCracken County Sheriff Deputies, Reidland Farley Fire Dept., and Mercy Regional Ambulance, were dispatched to a single vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Husbands Road and Lydon Road.

Upon Arrival, emergency personnel discoverd a 2007 Dodge Utility Truck which was Westbound on Lydon Road. There were indications the vehicle may have become airborne as it crested the flood wall and then again as it crossed Husbands Road. After the vehicle crossed Husbands Road, it landed in a field, collided with and destroyed several road signs, a large tree, and then overturned. Speed is considered a contributing factor in the accident.

It was determined that the truck was occupied by two men, both in there mid 30's who worked for a company from outside of the Paducah area, died at the scene. The identities of the two men are being withheld pending notification of their families. The accident caused Husbands Road to be reduced to one lane for approx 3 hours.
