Single Vehicle Accident Claims the Life of McCracken Teen

altPADUCAH, KY –McCracken County Deputies were called to investigate a roll over accident in front of the Dollar General Store on US 60 west Saturday afternoon. 
 
Upon arrival, Deputies found that a 1994 Ford Explorer had rolled over in the median after the driver lost control of the SUV.  The front seat passenger, a 14 year old male, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Charles Offett of the McCracken County Coroner's Office.  The rear seat passenger, a 10 year old male, was treated for his injuries and released at Lourdes Hospital.  The 49 year old driver of the vehicle and father of the two occupants refused medical treatment from Mercy EMS at the scene.  Their identities are being withheld pending notification of other family members.
 
The investigation in incomplete as is being reconstructed by the Kentucky State Police.  The Sheriff's Office received additional assistance at the scene from the Paducah Police Department, Mercy Regional EMS, Concord Fire Department and the Paducah McCracken County Rescue Squad.
